More than one year in the making, it’s official. EVERYTHING is out for preorder.
An annual printed publication exploring legacy and intimacy, EVERYTHING reflects the creative and cultural environment surrounding Laguna~B and its sister companies, making space for the ideas, encounters, and stories it generates. It’s published by Everything Publishing—a newborn publishing house spun off from the group’s communications office.
Intimacy implies the aspiration for “a narrative about something shared, a story of both oneself and others,” American theorist Lauren Berlant wrote. A shared story is what EVERYTHING is about.
As a creative team at Laguna~B, our ambition has always been to create meaningful communications that would stir emotions and, just like our glassware, gain value over time. We elected printing and publishing as the best way to achieve this. Even in an increasingly digital world, “a screen shouldn’t be the only thing you see,” says Marcantonio Brandolini d’Adda, who has led our team since taking over Laguna~B in 2017. Physical, human-made objects remain essential vehicles of emotional connection.
Over the years we’ve been focusing on narrating our universe through original editorial work. Our newsletters have reached larger audiences, offering a platform for circulating new ideas and perspectives, as well as (hopefully) inspiring insights into our research. In 2025, we evolved the format into a digital magazine (you can still browse it here): we commissioned essays, reportages, and fiction from our favorite international names and interviewed some of the most relevant figures in contemporary culture.
Curiosity has always been the driving force behind all that. Following it led to meeting artists, designers, scientists, chefs, sex workers, public relations experts—each sharing inestimably precious fragments of their worlds for us to absorb. We designed our websites and explored low-tech, community-centered uses of the internet. Building our archive led to researching archival practices, their role in art and community, and its creative potential. We curated and deleted our social media many times over and in the process learned about its algorithms, biases, and language. We carried out residency programs for teenage glassmakers to come from abroad to experiment in Murano and discovered how glassblowing was an empowering means of emancipation for people living thousands of miles from Venice. We established a library in our store and lost ourselves deep in research about innovative cataloging methods, and how and why people collect books.
Until now, this ever-expanding body of knowledge, ideas, and relationships had no place to be expressed.
EVERYTHING’S first issue is set in Venice, where we live and base our work. Seen through the lens of our lived experience, the city appears through authentic perspectives, far from its mainstream representations. It begins in the 15th-century palazzo where Laguna~B was born in 1994 and where legends like Diane Von Fürstenberg and Cristiana Brandolini d’Adda still live. Featured in countless glossy magazines throughout the decades, here the palazzo is documented in an unprecedented way through the lens of Jacopo Benassi—Marcantonio’s longtime friend whose photographic books fill our bookshelves and who also created the campaign for the Origin collection in 2024.
Since our team was formed in 2021, human relationships have always shaped our work. For this reason, EVERYTHING is made up of contributions by friends and creatives who we have genuine relationships with, and who share our ethos. Among them Francesca Faccani, Inez & Vinoodh, Lea Colombo, Billie Muraben, James Mollison, Francesca Albergo, Pixel T.
The world we built reaches far beyond the beautiful glassware, and deeper down. EVERYTHING invites you to explore it as an insider.
